Grandma

My grandma passed away this last Monday. I will surly miss her and seeing her play with the little girls. I'm glad that she got to go though and that she is no longer suffering. Her is her beautiful obituary that my uncle wrote:

MYRNA WARNICK

Myrna Loy Williams Warnick 1936 ~ 2009 Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Myrna Loy Williams Warnick, was born in Emery, Utah on June 22, 1936 and died on October 19, 2009. Her beautiful 73 year life was full of contrasts. Raised a poor coal miner's daughter in Sunnyside, Utah; nevertheless she loved Black Tie Affairs, the Opera, Escargot and Filet Mignon. Myrna learned to read while playing school in the potato cellar with her sister LaRue. But still, Myrna became a brilliant scholar, a BYU Honors Graduate and Magna Cum Laude Masters of Science Graduate from the University of Utah. She was also a national leader and innovator in Nursing and Hospital Administration. A true historian and lover of the arts; nevertheless, she was blessed with an unrivaled technical and analytical mind. Mom was a faithful, tender Latter-day Saint wife and mother that loved spending time with her husband and children. However, she still shattered the gender based "glass ceiling" of the corporate world. Mom was a highly skilled and knowledgeable nurse that embodied the value of bedside manner and loving care. An austere and dynamic business leader; she would rather curl up with a grandchild reading books than sit in a board room. She was fascinated with traveling the world. She visited Egypt, Jordan, Russia, Israel, all of Europe and lived in Utah, Idaho, Los Angeles, and Chicago; however she was most at home residing quietly in the shadows of Mount Timpanogas. A fiercely independent, renaissance woman, that knew she was nothing without LaMar, her adoring, loving, and eternal husband of 53 years. Myrna was preceded in death by her parents; Ethel Evelyn Broderick and George Lambert Milton Williams of Roy, Utah, her brother Garth Williams, and her sister LaRue Oldenwalder. She is survived by her husband Jesse Lamar Warnick, six children: Chris (Andy) Caras, Mark (Kath) Warnick, Marla (Dale) Olsen, Lelen Peterson, Curtis (Becky) Warnick, and Travis (Camille) Warnick. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grand-children. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings Marjorie Rosenlund, Jay Williams and Eddie Williams. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Fri., Oct. 23 at the LDS Chapel, 200 N. 200 E. in Orem with a viewing one hour prior. Also another viewing will be Thurs., Oct. 22, 6-8 p.m. at the same location. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and other staff members that cared for mom during the past year.

Blah, Blah, Blah....

I know that I haven't posted for a very long time, but I just haven't been in the mood to lately, so I haven't made time for it- I know it's a lame excuse... A lot has been happening and my baby girls keep me busy which surly helps a lot, so here's our little update...

In 3 days the girls and I get to get on an airplane and fly down to Ft. Huachuca. I'm a little nervous about flying alone with the two of them and our layover in LAX but the excitement far out weighs all the anxiety!!! I can't wait for Kevin to be home again, it has been far to long. It's hard to think that Maddie is now 6 months old and Sade will be 2 in a couple of weeks. Sade is just as excited as I am about seeing Kevin. She has been counting down the days for the past week and a half. She loves to tell people that we get to, "Go on big plane. See Daddy work, far far away." The girls are growing like weeds. I have a lot of cute pictures of them but once again I can't seem to find the cord to the camera to get the pictures off of the camera. Sade is talking all the time now. She talks from the moment she gets up until the moment she gets down, well that's an understatement, she even talks in her sleep. She's learning her ABC's right now, her favorite letters are: S, W, M, O, P, and C. She was potty trained for a while but she now has decided that it's not her thing so we're back to diapers. I'm not going to push it though, because this will make the drive home from AZ so much easier. She has also turned into quiet the girly girl lately. She always has her babies with her, her nails always need to be pretty, she loves to help me on the sewing machine. It seems like we're always making her a new skirt or purse. She's doing a lot better at Church. We haven't had to leave sacrament meeting in three weeks. (that may not be a lot but for us, this is a HUGE accomplishment!) She frequently is asking me if it is Sunday so she can, "Go to church, prayers, sing songs, play with toys, see teacher." She is in love with her nursery teacher, which is helping a lot. She is also trying to grasp the concept of prayers and says probably 15-20 a day all by herself. Last week I took Madalyn into a doctors appt. and she was weighed. She is now 18 lbs. 6 oz., 26 inches long, and her head is 46cm. Which puts her in the 90-95% for her weight. This girl is becoming a chunk!! She only weighs 6 lbs. less than Sade. She is now sitting on her own and rolling. She's happy 90% of the time which really makes my job a lot easier. For the past month and a half she has decided that she HATES being rocked to sleep, she would much rather you just put her in her crib and she'll put herself to sleep, this is the exact opposite of Sade. She loves to laugh, especially if it is at Sade.

Dear Kevin,

Kevin, This is what I've been doing at night when I know I should be doing laundry or cleaning the bathroom, but lets face it.... laundry is boring.
